Kaleidoscope of Hope Walks Again in the Fight Against Ovarian Cancer
MADISON, N.J., Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The Kaleidoscope of Hope Foundation (KOH), a non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds research for Ovarian Cancer, marks this month with three annual Walkathons in Morris, Bergen and Ocean Counties. All Walks feature 1,3, 5 mile distances, food, music, prizes and activities for children and adults. These Walks are both "funraisers" and "fundraisers" for this important cause.
As a leading advocate for Ovarian Cancer in the State of New Jersey, KOH will kick off its first of three Walks on Sunday, September 11th, at 9 a.m. at the Loantaka Brook Reservation in Morristown. In past years, Congressman Rodney Freylinghuysen has attended this event in continued support of the foundation and the cause of ovarian cancer. A memorial for the tenth anniversary of 9/11 will also be observed at this event.
On Sunday, September 18th at 9 a.m., KOH will host its second 2011 Walk in Lyndhurst at the Richard W. DeKorte Park. Attendees may walk in support or memory of a loved one touched by ovarian cancer while enjoying the serene, natural beauty of this Meadowlands reserve.
The Boardwalk at Avon-by-the Sea will host the third 2011 Kaleidoscope of Hope Ovarian Cancer Walk on Saturday, September 24th, 2011 at 9 a.m. Participants in this event will support the ongoing efforts of KOH to fund cutting edge research in the field of ovarian cancer. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of the "wave" of Teal Ribbon supporters on the beachfront at Avon-by-the sea.
