Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States Ranks No. 1 in the Nation on Five Commercial Health Plan Quality Measures

ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States is No. 1 in the nation out of nearly 500 commercial health plans for breast cancer screening and four other quality measures, according to the 2014 National Committee for Quality Assurance's (NCQA) Quality Compass® data. This is the third year in a row that Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States is No. 1 in the U.S. for breast cancer screening. The annual Quality Compass data assesses the performance of health plans around the nation on many important clinical and service standards, including medication management and respiratory conditions. Of the 48 Quality Compass clinical measures evaluated in NCQA's Private Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2014-2015, Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States was rated No. 1 in five of them.
