Kaiser Permanente of Georgia Named Top Medicare Plan in the State
ATLANTA, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaiser Permanente of Georgia has the highest-rated Medicare plan in the state, according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance's (NCQA) 2010-2011 Health Insurance Plan Rankings—Medicare. Kaiser Permanente of Georgia's commercial plan received top Georgia ranking earlier this year. *Both plans are also accredited with NCQA's highest quality rating.
The rankings are based on data collected, analyzed and converted to scores by the NCQA—a major accrediting body for managed health care. Kaiser Permanente of Georgia scored high in the areas of customer service, management of diabetes and preventative screenings. Kaiser Permanente of Georgia currently leads the nation in breast cancer screening with 90.04 percent of eligible women age 42 to 69 receiving their recommended mammograms.
