PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Three new primary care physicians and a dentist will provide Kaiser Permanente's unique, high-quality, integrated care in offices opening today in Eugene, Oregon.
Kaiser Permanente's Valley River Dental Office is located in Eugene's Valley River Plaza, 1011 Valley River Way, in the former Fletcher's for Children storefront. It is just a few miles from the new Kaiser Permanente Downtown Eugene Medical Office, 100 W. 13th Ave., which was once the Eugene Public Library.
"The population in Lane County has grown, and there is a real demand for our prevention-focused care," said Chris Overton, senior director of Lane County for Kaiser Permanente. "Our new doctors are eager to deliver the same high-quality care and integrated services we've provided to other Northwest communities for 70 years."
General dentist Tara Khalil, DDS, who will lead the Valley River Dental Office care team, is returning to Eugene, where she graduated from the University of Oregon before earning her DDS from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry.
"I am very excited to move back to Eugene. I look forward to getting to know this community again, and serving our patients in this new endeavor. I am committed to educating patients about the connection between a healthy smile and their overall well-being."
Dr. Khalil will be joined in Eugene by three experienced Kaiser Permanente Northwest physicians who are relocating from Portland, Salem and Northern California to staff the new medical and dental offices.
