OAKLAND, Calif., March 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaiser Permanente announced today that Roland Lyon has been named president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado.
Lyon brings to this role 25 years of leadership experience in health care, including 14 years at Kaiser Permanente. Most recently he served as vice president of Strategy, Market Expansion and Network Operations for Kaiser Permanente Colorado, leading the organization's expansions and new growth opportunities.

Lyon will report directly to Donna Lynne, DrPH, executive vice president, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and group president responsible for Colorado as well as the Northwest and Hawaii regions.

Lyon joined Kaiser Permanente in 2002 as vice president of Consulting Services and then Consulting and Capital Planning in Northern California before serving as vice president, Strategic Planning in Kaiser Permanente's national Program Offices.
He began his tenure in Colorado in 2006, moving from executive director of Regional Strategy to vice president of Regional Strategy and Performance before leading Strategy, Market Expansion and Network Operations. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Roland served in leadership roles at Catholic Healthcare West (now Dignity Health) and with BDC Advisors, LLC.
