K9 Fit Club Introduces Nation's First Online Certification Program For Human/Canine Fitness Certification at IDEA Conference

CHICAGO, Aug. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- K9 Fit Club® – the leader in canine and human fitness – is pleased to introduce the nation's first-ever online certification program for human/canine fitness certification at The 2014 IDEA World Fitness Convention, being held August 13-17 in Anaheim, CA.  The new model offers a flexible and convenient opportunity to become a Certified K9 Fit Club Trainer, and once certified, you are provided with access to tools, information, a pop up K9 Fit Kit™, and support from K9 Fit Club – everything you need to run a successful business.  K9 Fit Club will be the exclusive canine/human fitness exhibitor at the event.

K9 Fit Club was founded in 2012 by Tricia Montgomery and was the nation's first facility for both humans and canines to use together.  As public demand for the program grew – with interest from enthusiasts all over the country – the online certification program was established.

After shedding 130 pounds several years ago by working out with her dog Louie, Ms. Montgomery was inspired to help all people and their dogs stay healthy and fit together, thus K9 Fit Club was born.  Ms. Montgomery's pit bull Zeus is the program's "poster dog" and resident guinea pig.

The programs were developed with input from personal trainers, veterinarians, dog trainers, doctors, and certified dog behaviorists.  Programs are recommended after an initial assessment of both person and dog, and are available for all fitness levels in all modalities of fitness – as well as specifically designed programs for children, seniors, and people with certain disabilities.  K9 Fit Club will host "Begging for Beginners™" and "Bow Wow Bootcamp™" demonstrations its booth during the IDEA Convention.  These demonstrations will provide attendees examples of what they will learn during a K9 Fit Club Certification, as well as showcase the basic moves of human/canine fitness and how to improve well-being through exercise, mental health, and fitness techniques.

K9 Fit Club currently has numerous certified trainers across the country, with many more now enrolled in the program.  Online certification typically takes anywhere from a weekend to one month to obtain, depending on the flexibility of your schedule and costs $599.  A $200 discount is applied for certified personal trainers.
