TOLEDO, Ohio, Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Candi Wolbert, director of safety and regulatory compliance with K-Limited Carrier, LTD, a nationally recognized liquid bulk carrier, has been appointed to serve as the Eastern Region Chair of the Safety and Security Council of the National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) association. The Eastern Region encompasses 12 eastern U.S. states from the east coast to Ohio.

The NTTC was created to advance the standard for safe and sustainable transportation within the tank truck community, and its Safety Council is committed to establishing best practices and procedures for the maintenance of safety standards throughout the industry. Among Wolbert's responsibilities on the Safety Council are administering the 2015-2016 Professional Tank Truck Driver of the Year program (whose application deadline is Nov. 23) and the Heil Outstanding Safety Performance Awards program. Wolbert's term runs for four years, and on the fifth year she becomes the National Chair of the Safety and Security Council.

Wolbert had more than 15 years' experience in the chemical industry before joining K-Limited Carrier in 2013, and understands the transportation challenges and safety issues of the liquid bulk carrier industry. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio.
