NEW YORK, March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- JW Player, a leading online and mobile video platform and player technology company, today released the first version of their JW Player SDK for iOS, expanding their comprehensive mobile strategy and enabling publishers to make their video content accessible on all mobile platforms. As the consumption of mobile video continues to rise, this software developer kit (SDK) allows publishers to easily build JW Player video playback and advertising features directly into native iOS apps.

- Improved HLS adaptive heuristics add predictive analysis to video streams to reduce buffering
- HLS playback support on Chromecast
