Just Energy Creates More Jobs for Texans

HOUSTON, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrating the grand opening of its new call center, Just Energy announced it is investing a further $2 million in expansion plans for its call center and operations in Houston, Texas. The plan will create up to another 150 job opportunities for local residents in the near term. Texans can look forward to possibilities of growth within Just Energy, which currently employs over 800 employees across North America.

The investment and expansion of Just Energy's operations opens doors for further job growth and positions the company to respond to the increasing demand for its products. Just Energy is a publicly traded company and has a call center in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada as well as several offices across North America. The new call center located in the Galleria area of Houston is expected to create more than 150 new jobs in the short term. Houston was specifically chosen for its proximity to major markets and highways.

The latest expansion of the call center opened today with the capability of accommodating 200 employees. In 2007, Just Energy was named 'Company of the Year' by the Ontario Energy Association for its commitment to innovation and customer service as well as its proactive work with the legislators and regulators. The employees will be responsible for handling calls in both English and Spanish for electricity services for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
