Junction City Elks to Start Open Door Extreme Makeover

CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Junction City Elks will renovate, repair and expand the capacity of the local Open Door shelter. This will improve the atmosphere and allow more occupants.

Open Door Extreme Makeover will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Junction City Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Junction City Elks Lodge No. 1037 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
