"The recovery from the storm event of June 9th has been extraordinary," said Mayor Pro Tem Kathleen Krueger. "Our rivers and other water recreation venues are ready to welcome visitors along with all our other great family owned attractions. There are a few other projects still in progress; however, we are looking forward to a great summer."
Only 15 days after a 12-inch downpour focused on the New Braunfels area caused a significant rain event that washed through the Guadalupe and Comal rivers, which have made the City one of the most popular summer family vacation destinations in Texas, New Braunfels has fully recovered. Thanks to extraordinary efforts by local residents, businesses, city and county staff, damage caused by the event has been cleared from both rivers and the City's riverside parks.
