Judy Brennan Returns to Ogilvy as Executive Vice President
Expansion of financial communications and reputation risk offering continues
CHICAGO, May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, announced the appointment of Judy Brennan to executive vice president and Midwest Director of Ogilvy Financial & Reputation Risk, effective May 31. Counseling clients across the agency's growing corporate client portfolio and the enhancement of new agency offerings are among her key responsibilities. She was a member of Ogilvy PR's New York team in the mid-1990s.
Brennan brings a deep background in reputation management and financial communications to the firm.
She regularly counsels C-level clients across multiple sectors and through challenging situations, including executive leadership changes, proxy campaigns, brand/product crises, litigation situations, regulatory issues and support for IPOs and other financial transactions.
"At times companies find themselves facing a situation that requires specialized counsel and programming," said Nathan Friedman, managing director of Ogilvy PR/Chicago. "Judy's experience in the financial, public affairs and healthcare arenas underscores our continued evolution, growth and depth of our corporate communications offering."
Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Brennan was senior vice president and director of Ketchum's Midwest Corporate & Healthcare Practice. During her tenure, she represented several clients in industries under siege, including the nation's second largest independent mortgage lender during the mortgage loan crisis, one of the original nine TARP banks during the financial crisis, and some of the nation's top health insurers during healthcare reform.
Brennan also spent 12 years at Sard Verbinnen & Co., where she provided strategic counsel to a range of high-profile accounts and handled numerous corporate-transformative assignments, including acquisitions, mergers, spin-offs and IPOs, as well as long-term corporate reputation management.
"I am thrilled to join the Ogilvy team and support the continued growth of the firm and its Corporate Practice," said Brennan. "Ogilvy PR has a deep bench of senior-level corporate communications professionals, and I look forward to working with the agency's high-caliber teams and clients."
Brennan holds a B.A. degree with honors in history from City University of New York at Hunter College.
