EAGAN, Minn., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) has elected Judi Dutcher, president and director of The Museum of Russian Art and Jan Malcolm, chief executive officer of Courage Center to its board of trustees.

Dutcher is the president and director of The Museum of Russian Art, an educational non-profit organization located in Minneapolis. Prior to joining the museum, Dutcher was the president of The Minnesota Community Foundation. During her tenure, the Minnesota Community Foundation became one of the fastest growing community foundations in the United States. Dutcher is the former State Auditor for the State of Minnesota, elected in 1994 and re-elected in 1998. She received a Bachelor of Arts and a law degree from the University of Minnesota.

Dutcher currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Minnesota Foundation and is vice chair of the Audit Committee. She also serves as an advisor to the University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs – Center for the Study of Politics and Governance and serves on the board of Debate Minnesota.

Malcolm is chief executive officer of Courage Center, a Minnesota-based non-profit rehabilitation and resource center. Prior to joining Courage Center, Malcolm was a senior program officer for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Princeton, N.J., where she helped develop funding initiatives to strengthen the nation's public health system. Malcolm also served as Commissioner of Health for the State of Minnesota from 1999-2003. Highlights of her term included passage of major budget initiatives in tobacco prevention and elimination of health disparities. Previously, Malcolm was vice president of Public Affairs at Allina Health System and a senior vice president of Government Programs and Public Policy at HealthPartners.

Malcolm currently serves as a board member of Hennepin Healthcare System, Inc. (the county subsidiary corporation that operates the Hennepin County Medical Center), the Bush Foundation and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation.
