Judges Join National Conference on Lead Litigation, HB Announces
NEW YORK, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Two leading judges presiding over litigation involving personal injury claims from exposure to lead have joined the faculty of HB's Lead Litigation Conference, a national program produced by HB Litigation Conferences since 1992, according to Tom Hagy, founder and CEO of HB. This is a continuation of the event formerly produced under the Mealey's Conferences brand.
The conference will take place on Oct. 25-26, 2010 in Amelia Island, Fla.
The two judges joining the faculty are Hon. Evelyn Omega Cannon, Circuit Court for Baltimore City, and Hon. Matthew Rosenbaum, Supreme Court Justice, Seventh Judicial District, Rochester, N.Y.
Judge Cannon has held her post since December 6, 1996. She is Judge-in-Charge, Civil Docket; Designated Judge for the Business and Technology Case-Management Program; and a member of the Board of Directors, Judicial Institute of Maryland.
Judge Rosenbaum was elected to his post in 2006, was assigned to the lead paint litigation in the same year and is the court's liaison to the Statewide Coordinator on Summary Jury Trials.
HB's Lead Litigation Conference is being chaired by Thomas Cullen, a partner with Goodell, DeVries, Leech & Dann of Baltimore and Mark Richter of O'Connell & Aronowitz of Albany.
