Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Against Sigma Drilling Technologies, LLC

DALLAS, May 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The honorable Judge Amos L. Mazzant, III of The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division signed an order on May 9, 2019, dismissing all claims in a case filed by Performance Pulsation Control, Inc. (PPC) against multiple defendants, including Sigma Drilling Technologies, LLC.  No defendant paid any money or other consideration in settlement of any claim. 

Performance Pulsation Control, Inc. initially filed a State action in Collin County on June 29, 2016.  The federal lawsuit was filed a year later on June 27, 2017.  On March 11, 2019, Judge Mazzant dismissed several claims against the Defendants and entirely dismissed Sigma's distributor from the case on summary judgment.  With 385 filings on the Court's docket and trial scheduled to begin on May 20, 2019, PPC's owner, John Rogers, wrote a letter to Judge Mazzant requesting permission to dismiss the case, citing religion as the impetus.
