TULSA, Okla., Feb. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- PennWell Corporation, a diversified global media and conferences and exhibitions company, announced today a collaborative partnership between the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS) and the Asian Association for Emergency Medical Services (AAEMS). Under the terms of the partnership, JEMS and AAEMS will jointly promote and cross-market their respective activities serving the emergency services industry to facilitate the sharing of experiences and information between the regions each serves. Through this international collaboration, JEMS shall serve as the exclusive North American prehospital media partner of AAEMS, including its EMS Asia conference and exhibition, while granting EMS Asia attendees and AAEMS members access to JEMS content and expertise. As the official media partner, JEMS will bring to its audience, first hand, the opportunities, challenges and initiatives of AAEMS' member countries.
"JEMS is dedicated to providing the emergency services sector with industry-leading coverage of progressive clinical and operational developments. We are honored to announce this important collaboration with AAEMS, through its biennial EMS Asia Conference, which will further both organizations' missions of encouraging the exchange of innovations, techniques and protocols to improve prehospital care in both areas of the world," said Ms. MaryBeth DeWitt, Senior Vice President and Group Publisher of JEMS and the EMS Today Conference and Exposition.
Established in 2011 (previously known as Asian EMS Council), AAEMS is a Singapore-based non-profit association that promotes and advocates prehospital care and EMS systems in different Asian communities. Publishing the Asian EMS Journal and hosting the EMS Asia conference and exhibition, AAEMS provides vital information platforms for the advancement of EMS throughout Asia.
"We are proud to announce this partnership with JEMS, which provides further access to information, resources and professional development opportunities for our member countries and individual association members," said Dr. Marcus Ong, Medical Director and board member of AAEMS. "We look forward to building this partnership not only for the benefit of both organizations, but for the EMS community as a whole."
"The collaboration between JEMS and the AAEMS is an exciting opportunity to bridge the Asian and U.S. EMS communities to share inspirations, lessons learned and new approaches to emergency medical care. By sharing information, we can explore new ways of influencing each other's work and collaborating efforts to enable EMS providers to administer the highest level of patient care," said Dr. Hideharu Tanaka, board chairman of AAEMS.
