WASHINGTON, May 6, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association of Global Automakers (Global Automakers) is pleased to announce Josh Fisher as its new manager of the state government affairs team.
Fisher joins Global Automakers with more than a decade of state legislative experience. He will support the Association's state advocacy network by working with state elected officials on legislative activities that impact the Association and its member companies.
"Josh is a valuable addition to our team as we continue to build our robust state government affairs program," said Damon Shelby Porter, director of state government affairs at Global Automakers. "His experience and education will be an asset as we work on various automotive issues in the states."
Prior to joining Global Automakers, Fisher helped lead Stateside Associates' Healthcare Issue Management Practice where he advised clients on healthcare policy and a wide range of state and local government issues. Past experience also includes work in the Maryland General Assembly Department of Legislative Services, in the U.S. Department of Labor's Directorate of Construction, and as a law clerk in the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland.
Fisher graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He holds a B.A. in economics from Washington & Lee University.
