Joseph Jankowski Receives New Jersey Hospital Association's 2016 Hospital Trustee of the Year Award

WOODBRIDGE, N.J., Feb. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. is pleased to announce that Joseph J. Jankowski has been selected as the NJHA's 2016 Hospital Trustee of the Year. The award was presented to Mr. Jankowski on January 29^th during the association's 97^th Annual Meeting, Awards and Luncheon.

The Trustee of the Year award recognizes Mr. Jankowski for his exceptional leadership and guidance as a volunteer trustee at Raritan Bay Medical Center for over twenty-five years, the last six of which he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Raritan Bay Medical Center and Chairman of the Board of its parent company, Raritan Bay Health Services Corporation. As Chairman, Mr. Jankowski has spearheaded a number of initiatives to successful completion that have benefited Raritan Bay's two hospitals and surrounding communities, including the establishment of:

• Human Motion Institute for Orthopedic Services;
• Emergency Care Center in Woodbridge;
• CareOne Facility at Perth Amboy Campus;
• Women's Center at Perth Amboy Campus;
• Bariatric Center at Perth Amboy Campus;
• Imaging Center at Perth Amboy Campus; and
• Hyperbaric Oxygen Services at Perth Amboy Campus.

Mr. Jankowski has also aided in the expansion of the Perth Amboy Campus emergency room; oversaw construction of a new 90,000 square foot medical facility at Old Bridge Campus; and managed the merger of Raritan Bay Medical Center with Meridian Health System. He was then appointed to the Board of Trustees of Meridian Hospital's Corporation.

Mr. Jankowski, a Shareholder on the Commercial Real Estate and Banking/Creditors' Rights teams at Wilentz, has been representing commercial real estate clients and financial institutions for more than forty years in numerous matters relating to commercial real estate acquisition, sales and financing.
