Crimaldi has 17 years of experience counseling clients on obtaining and protecting intellectual property rights. He has prepared and prosecuted all aspects of chemical patent applications with a particular focus on biotech, genetically-modified plants, agricultural chemicals, plant patents, pharmaceuticals, polymers, organic chemistry, personal care products, and nanotechnology. Crimaldi also has experience in drafting patent validity and infringement opinions, and in the areas of trademark prosecution and litigation. His background includes strategic planning and intellectual property asset management, both foreign and domestic, for start-ups, publicly traded companies and large public universities.
Crimaldi received his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1995 and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Miami University in 1992.
