Jones Lang LaSalle Receives 2012 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award
U.S. EPA recognizes three-time Partner of the Year recipient for leadership in energy efficiency
CHICAGO, March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) a 2012 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award in recognition of its continued leadership in protecting our environment through energy efficiency. Jones Lang LaSalle's accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 15, 2012, which marks the 20th anniversary of ENERGY STAR.
Jones Lang LaSalle, an ENERGY STAR partner since 1998, will be honored for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency in its operations and on behalf of clients. Among other accomplishments, Jones Lang LaSalle:
- Manages more than 1,250 properties with ENERGY STAR ratings, representing over 230 million square feet
- Manages more than 150 properties with ENERGY STAR labels
- Helps building owners save more than $100 million in energy costs per year
- Employs more than 900 LEED Accredited Professionals and Green Associates; and employs more than 1,000 professionals worldwide with some form of energy or sustainability credential
- Has committed to help owners reduce energy consumption 20 percent or more by 2020 at buildings totaling 98 million square feet
Prior to gaining the Sustained Excellence Award, Jones Lang LaSalle was named ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year in 2007, 2010 and 2011.
