Jonathan Steenland Joins the National Cybersecurity Center as Chief Operating Officer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Cybersecurity Center (NCC), a non-profit dedicated to educating governments, academia and private businesses on cyberattack prevention, announced today that Jonathan Steenland has joined the organization as Chief Operating Officer. Steenland, who most recently served as Principal of CISO Services with Zyston, brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role.

In addition to his prior role at Zyston, Steenland served as Chief Information Security Officer at Fujitsu, where he developed strategic security programs for a global business comprising 500 companies and 170,000 employees worldwide. Steenland also served as Fujitsu's first Chief Security Officer in the Americas and led the development of many global security programs, including the Advanced Security Innovation Center.

Before joining Fujitsu, Steenland worked for the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Army. He served as Executive Vice President of the North Texas chapter of InfraGard, an FBI-sponsored public-private partnership that shares information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the U.S. He is currently a Governing Board Member for the Security Advisor Alliance, an organization that facilitates partnerships within the information security community.
