Jonathan Dugas Joins The Vitality Group as Director of Clinical Development
CHICAGO, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Vitality Group, developer of an incentive-based wellness program, announced that Jonathan Dugas, PhD, has joined the company to serve in the role of Director of Clinical Development. Dr. Dugas joins a global scientific and clinical team that is responsible for development of the Vitality solution in the United States and leveraging the latest research and best practices in behavioral science to further enhance program engagement.

Jonathan will focus on the translation of lifestyle science into practical population-based solutions, aimed at improving population-based health behavior and reducing or appropriately mitigating risk factors. In addition, he will develop and present educational programs for members on key topics, such as weight management, physical activity and prevention of chronic disease.
Prior to The Vitality Group, Jonathan was a clinical assistant professor in the department of kinesiology and nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His primary responsibilities included teaching a variety of courses and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. He has authored numerous publications and is co-author of the book, The Runner's Body: How the Latest Exercise Science Can Help You Run Stronger, Longer, and Faster, which unlocks the science of running for the everyday athlete.
