Jon Davis Appointed CEO of Davisco Foods International, Inc.
LE SUEUR, Minn., Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Davisco Foods International, Inc. announces the appointment of Jon Davis as President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2012. Jon succeeds his father Mark and grandfather Stanley as CEO of Davisco Foods International.
"Jon has grown up in our family business and the dairy industry, and has earned the opportunity to lead Davisco as we go forward," said Mark Davis, Chairman of the Board of Davisco Foods International. Davis continues, "Jon has held various leadership positions, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer he was responsible for all aspects of the cheese and whey ingredient manufacturing facilities."
Since the age of 14, Jon has worked in the family-owned business. After graduating from the University of St. Thomas in 1992, Jon moved to Idaho to continue his involvement in the family business. In 1995 Jon became the manager of Jerome Cheese Company. In 2000, Jon was named Chief Operating Officer for all Davisco manufacturing operations, and, spearheaded the design, construction and commissioning of Davisco's green-field cheese and whey production facility in eastern South Dakota.
