Joint Statement from Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Hoyer on 9/11 Health Bill
WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced today that they will bring The James Zadroga 9-11 Health and Compensation Act to the floor for a vote next week. This bill provides funding for a health initiative to monitor and treat responders and community residents for health conditions related to the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks and compensation for those physically injured by those attacks or by response activities and debris removal.
