Johnson Controls honored by the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council as 2013 Corporation of the Year
Company recognized for developing and working with diverse suppliers
PLYMOUTH, Mich., Oct. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnson Controls, a global diversified company in the building and automotive industries, was recognized by the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) as a 2013 Corporation of the Year, Tier 1 - Manufacturing Category for the company's achievements in developing and working with diverse suppliers.

"I'm proud to say that this year Johnson Controls' business units have contributed to more than $640 million in diverse spending with 52 minority suppliers in Michigan."
This year marks the 14th time in the past 18 years that Johnson Controls has been honored with this award from the MMSDC.
In addition, Kristen Cebulski, senior buyer for Johnson Controls Automotive Seating, was recognized as Buyer of the Year by MMSDC.
The award strengthens Johnson Controls' candidacy for the National Corporation of the Year Award, which will be announced by the national MSDC on Oct. 30.
