ALISO VIEJO, Calif., March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the success of their first Johnny Rockets restaurant that opened a little more than a year ago in Tampico, Johnny Rockets franchise partners Isaias and Jorge Santana opened a new location last Friday at the main entrance of Plaza Fiesta San Agustin in San Pedro, Garza Garcia. The 2,745-square-foot restaurant boasts a fun, timeless ambiance and delicious menu items that include mouthwatering, all-natural Hamburgers; crispy American Fries served with a ketchup smiley face; and thick, hand-spun Shakes and Malts. Joining these perennial favorites is the Santanas' signature El Cohete Bravo, a juicy hamburger patty topped with pepper jack cheese, bacon, guacamole, Houston Sauce, Nacho Jalapeno, tomato, lettuce and onion.
Anchored by Sanborns, Sears and Soriana, the high-class, two-story Plaza Fiesta San Agustin features approximately 150 retail outlets, entertainment venues and dining options. "Opening a restaurant in one of the largest shopping malls in Mexico gives us the perfect opportunity to provide a truly unique, all-American dining experience to local Monterrey residents and area visitors," said Isaias Santana. "After a movie or busy day of shopping, they can enjoy the great-tasting food, upbeat music, friendly service, and spontaneous dance routines that have made Johnny Rockets such a beloved dining destination for more than 25 years."
"We opened our first Johnny Rockets restaurant in Mexico in Mexico City in April 1993," added Steve Devine, vice president of international development for Johnny Rockets. "Over the past 19 years, we've added 16 locations in Cancun, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Culician, Tampico and San Pedro, as well as at Cancun, Guadalajara and Toluca Airports. This illustrates the enduring popularity of Johnny Rockets in Mexico, as well as the continued demand for additional outlets."
The new Johnny Rockets restaurant at the main entrance of Plaza Fiesta San Agustin is located on the first floor next to Sanborns, and employs 44 local residents.
