John Novak Joins Paine & Partners as Principal
SAN FRANCISCO, NEW YORK and CHICAGO, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Paine & Partners, LLC ("Paine & Partners") today announced that John Novak has joined Paine & Partners as a Principal in the firm's Chicago office. Mr. Novak will work both on new investment opportunities and with management teams of existing portfolio companies.

Mr. Novak most recently served as Vice President at Swander Pace Capital LLC, a private equity firm focused on investing in manufacturers, marketers and distributors of consumer products, where he worked in various capacities since 2004. From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Novak worked on a number of transactions as an investment banking analyst in the Consumer & Retail Group at Banc of America Securities LLC. Previously, he worked as a capital markets analyst at Wachovia Securities, Inc. Mr. Novak earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
