Cash, Ph.D., a senior consultant and principal with Marts & Lundy and a nationally recognized leader in the advancement field, will become Chair of the firm's Board of Directors, effective Sept. 1. He succeeds John B. Ford, who resigned to accept the position of Vice Chancellor of University Development and Alumni Relations at the University of California, San Francisco. Ford will continue to work with Marts & Lundy and its clients as an Of Counsel member of the firm.

Dr. Cash is a well-known and trusted advisor in higher education advancement circles, providing counsel to both public and private institutions in the United States and internationally. His current clients include Rice University, the University of Hawaii, Rutgers University, the University of Rochester, Wake Forest University, Smith College, the Smithsonian Institution, and Imperial College, London. He previously served as associate vice chancellor for University Relations and as campaign director at the University of California, Berkeley, where he oversaw the $1.4 billion "New Century Campaign." He also has held development leadership positions in the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University and at Mills College. He has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
