John J. Stamatopoulos Announced As President Of Empathetics, Inc - The Boston Based Empathy Education Technology Firm Founded By Helen Riess M.D.
BOSTON, Feb. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Empathetics, Inc., an empathy education technology company founded by Dr. Helen Riess - recognized for her research in the neuroscience of empathy, announced that John J. Stamatopoulos has joined as President.
Mr. Stamatopoulos brings extensive experience growing early stage healthcare and education technology companies to improve healthcare, with an emphasis on provider-patient communications. Empathetics partners with leading healthcare organizations to implement blended learning solutions to help develop a culture of empathy, which studies have demonstrated can significantly improve the patient's experience and satisfaction.
Before Empathetics, Mr. Stamatopoulos held leadership roles at venture funded and publicly traded companies including Noble.MD, Advanced Practice Strategies, and Tobii-ATI. His focus is commercializing new technologies for education and activation for patients and providers. John has implemented initiatives to improve quality and reduce risk at hospitals, health systems, and insurance carriers nationwide. Early in his career, he performed business development roles at Inovalon, IDEX Health & Science, Hill-Rom, and AstraZeneca.
