John Hancock Retirement Plan Services Appoints Divisional Vice Presidents, Strategic Relationship Management, in Two Divisions
Hires Jennifer White in Mid-Atlantic and Promotes Ben Burrows in Central Divisions
BOSTON, July 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- John Hancock Retirement Plan Services (JHRPS) has appointed divisional vice presidents, Strategic Relationship Management, in two of the company's divisions. Jennifer White was hired in the Mid-Atlantic Division, and Benjamin Burrows promoted in the Central Division. In this role, they are responsible for leading a team of experienced strategic relationship managers charged with building and enhancing relationships with financial advisors and their clients who partner with JHRPS. Both White and Burrows report to John Fitzgerald, senior vice president, Strategic Relationship Management, Core Market, JHRPS.

White joins JHRPS from Transamerica, where she worked for the past 18 years and held multiple roles in relationship management, most recently as regional director of the Northeast Team. As regional director, she led a team of client executives, focused on advisors, clients and TPAs in the defined contribution space. In addition to driving positive asset retention and client satisfaction results, White was focused on developing her team and their individual successes.
White earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Xavier University. She holds Series 6 and 63 licenses and has passed sections A&B of the American Society of Pension Actuaries PA-1 Exam and the American Society of Pension Actuaries PSC 1 Exam. White also has passed the LOMA FLMI 290 Exam for Life and Health Insurance Company Operations.
Burrows joined John Hancock Retirement Plan Services in 2014 as a vice president in Strategic Relationship Management. In this role he established himself as a top performer and built a winning process in the Central Division, including mentoring team members who went on to excel, sharing best practices and helping achieve strong business results.
Prior to joining John Hancock, Burrows worked in ING U.S./Voya Financial's 401(k) plan business in roles of increasing responsibility, including internal wholesaler, retirement consultant and most recently, client relations manager. Before that, he had been a client relationship associate and senior associate for the Vanguard Group working in its retirement plan businesses.
Burrows holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California-Los Angeles.
