John Hancock Investments Adds Geoffrey Johnson, John Lacey, and Michael Reynolds as Managing Directors on Institutional Team

BOSTON, Oct. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --John Hancock Investments announced that it recently hired three new managing directors on its Institutional team.  Geoffrey Johnson is Managing Director, Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO), for the Northwestern United States; John Lacey is Managing Director, DCIO, for the Southwest; and Michael Reynolds is a Managing Director covering Registered Investment Advisors in the Southeast. Mr. Johnson and Mr. Lacey report to Gene Huxhold, Senior Managing Director, DCIO, while Mr. Reynolds reports to Todd J. Cassler, President of Institutional Distribution, John Hancock Investments.

Mr. Johnson most recently was with Merrill Lynch's Institutional Consulting Group as First Vice President of Investments – Wealth Management Advisor. Prior to that, he held several roles with Russell Institutional Services including Regional Director, Institutional Referral Program. Mr. Johnson served in the United States Marine Corp from 1994 – 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University.

Mr. Lacey formerly was Director, Investment Specialist Group DCI, with MFS Investment Management, working directly with platform wholesalers in the western U.S. Previously he was a Vice President, Regional Pension Consultant with Nationwide Financial, and a Vice President, Regional Retirement Coordinator, with Morgan Stanley. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State University.

Mr. Reynolds most recently was Regional Vice President, Central States, for RidgeWorth Investments of Houston, managing relationships with RIA, wirehouse and independent firms. Prior to that, he worked for Pioneer Investments, Legg Mason (formerly Citigroup Asset Management), and American Express Financial Advisors.  He attended the College for Financial Planning, and holds a BS in Business Administration from Villanova University.
