John Hancock Annuities Wins "Outstanding Website" Award From Web Marketing Association in 2011 Web Awards
BOSTON, Oct. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- John Hancock Annuities was a recipient of the "Outstanding Website" award in the Investment, Insurance, and Financial Services categories by the Web Marketing Association in their 2011 Web Awards. Each year the Web Marketing Association's WebAward competition names the best websites in various categories across all industries. Sites are selected by judging seven criteria: design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation, and content.
During the past year, John Hancock Annuities has added several features to its website, www.jhannuities.com, to support their eDelivery of contract documents and to promote ease of doing business online.
"Financial advisors and their clients who log on to our website now have 'Quick Views' of their contracts, summarizing their important information in an organized, clear, and concise way," said Tom Mullen, Chief Marketing Officer, John Hancock Annuities. "We've also added features to make it easier for advisors and clients to take advantage of our eDelivery program, which is becoming vastly more popular as a secure way of managing key contract information in an efficient manor. On behalf of the entire team at John Hancock, I'd like to thank the Web Marketing Association for recognizing our efforts."
In addition to contract management resources for existing clients, John Hancock Annuities has also enhanced its web-based educational tools for prospective clients. The updated "Retirement Talk" microsite includes new videos that highlight John Hancock's product flexibility and the enhanced information accessibility of eDelivery. Also available is a Retirement Income Calculator designed to help investors figure out how much money they may need for retirement. In addition to these microsite enhancements, the "Women and Investing" section of jhannuities.com has been improved, and now includes action-oriented content directing women on possible next steps for investing in retirement.
About the Web Marketing Association
Founded by the Web Marketing Association in 1997, the WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets industry benchmarks for the best websites based on seven criteria of a successful website. The goal of the WebAwards is to provide a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective websites on the Internet today. Beyond validation, entrants benefit from a website assessment by a professional judging panel, which provides specific feedback on how each site ranks against standards of excellence.
