HOUSTON, March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Houston-based EPC firm, IHI E&C announced today that it has appointed John Coffin as Vice President of Engineering.

"His focus on integrated project delivery and productivity enhancements to project execution align very well with our strategic vision."
John joins the company from Jacobs Engineering, where he was the Director of Integrated Delivery. In this role, he was responsible for implementation of project execution best practices and Integrated Applications for improved collaboration with Global High Value Execution Centers.
John's 30 years of industry experience spans the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and LNG markets, including a previous role as Vice President of Engineering for Amec Foster Wheeler. During his tenure at Amec Foster Wheeler John had direct reporting responsibilities for process and systems engineering, project engineering management, information and communication technology and workshare integration.
John was also the owner and founder of Quotient Engineering until its project execution center in Kolkata, India was acquired by Foster Wheeler in 2008.
John is an alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Chemical Engineering, and is also a Licensed Texas Professional Engineer.
