Devine Hall of Fame Award at the 2013 Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards on May 29. The award recognizes the recipient's extraordinary contributions to the Greater Washington region's technology business community during the course of his or her career.

Burton's experience in information technology spans three decades as a senior executive of high-growth private and public companies. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, having executed more than 25 in operating roles and in board-level and advisory capacities, and has served on the boards of several publicly held companies. Burton was a founding member of NVTC and was previously awarded the Financier of the Year Award at the 2002 NVTC CFO Awards.
Now in its 17th year, the 2013 Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards recognize chief financial officers and financiers for extraordinary achievement and excellence in promoting the development of the Greater Washington region's technology community. In addition to the Michael G. Devine Hall of Fame Award, the NVTC-produced awards program honors individuals in the following categories: Public Company CFO of the Year, Private Company CFO of the Year, Emerging Growth CFO of the Year and Financier of the Year Award. Winners will be announced at the awards banquet on May 29, 2013, at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean, Va.
These awards are a joint endeavor of Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the chairmanship of the event is rotated among the four accounting firms. The chairman of this year's awards program is Gina Gin, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
