John Bolton PAC Makes Contributions To Montana GOP Candidates
Rep. Steve Daines and former state Rep. Ryan Zinke also receive endorsements from Ambassador John Bolton
WASHINGTON, Sept. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The John Bolton PAC makes $5,000 contributions to Senate candidate Rep. Steve Daines (MT- At- large), and House candidate Ryan Zinke. Danies is running for the Senate seat being vacated by Democrat Sen. Max Baucus, and Zinke is running for Montana's at-large House seat currently held by Daines. Daines is a congressman, while Zinke represented District 2 in the Montana State Senate.
Bolton on Daines: "For the GOP to take over the U.S. Senate, it's important we win in Montana. As a congressman, Steve has a record of supporting strong national security policy and serves on two Homeland Security subcommittees. Additionally, his opponent, Amanda Curtis, recently told CNN she needs, '... a little more time' regarding her position on Iraq. Needles to say, Steve is the right candidate to lead Montana in the Senate."
Bolton on Zinke: "First and foremost, Ryan is a retired U.S. Navy Commander and member of SEAL Team Six. He's been awarded two Bronze Stars for combat and four Meritorious Service medals. Ryan understands national security and foreign policy, and without a doubt he is a leader we need in the U.S. House."
Bolton is committed to supporting candidates for elected office who believe in protecting American freedoms by securing U.S. interests in a challenging world. The John Bolton PAC and the John Bolton Super PAC have raised more than $5 million to date with nearly $3 million cash on hand.
Statements from each candidate:
Ryan Zink: "It is an honor to have the endorsement and support of such an accomplished and effective diplomat. Ambassador Bolton has always endeavored to protect our men and women in uniform and promote American exceptionalism both at home and abroad -- it has been, and remains, my goal to do the same."
Steve Daines: "I am deeply appreciative of Ambassador Bolton's endorsement and support of my candidacy. As our nation faces growing threats in the Middle East and challenges across the globe, it's clear that we need stronger leadership than what President Obama and Senate Democrats have offered the American people."
Ambassador Bolton's PAC has endorsed or made contributions to 31 candidates, including U.S. Senate candidates Sen. Pat Roberts (KS), Rep. James Lankford (OK), Dan Sullivan (AK), David Perdue (GA), Rep. Bill Cassidy (LA), former Sen. Scott Brown (NH), Thom Tillis (NC), Ed Gillespie (VA), Rep.
