John Bolton PAC Endorses Scott Brown for Senate, Citing National Security Credentials
The endorsement and contribution follow the first John Bolton Super PAC independent expenditure against Representative Ann Kuster (NH).
WASHINGTON, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ambassador John Bolton endorses Scott Brown and contributes $10,000 to his primary and general election campaign for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire. Scott Brown is in a hotly contested and closely watched race against Democrat Senator Jeanne Shaheen, who has faithfully supported the Obama Administration's failed foreign and defense policies.
"Formerly a colonel in the Army National Guard with a distinguished record, Scott Brown knows how to lead and he believes in an America that is respected at home and abroad," Ambassador John Bolton said. "He is the type of public servant who isn't afraid to be independent and make bold decisions for the state of New Hampshire."
"As a former ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton is a leading voice on the threats facing our nation's security, and he recognizes that right now our open borders pose a very real challenge. I am grateful for his support and leadership as he continues to call attention to the important issues influencing our nation's foreign policy. Granite Staters are fed up with the failed policies of the Obama-Shaheen agenda that has led to the immigration crisis at the southern border, a weak economy and indecisive foreign policy. I'm running for Senate to make America strong and restore our nation's greatness," said Brown.
Concurrently, the John Bolton Super PAC is running its first independent expenditure in the state, a $30,000 ad buy against Ann Kuster. The ad, which will run through at least July, can be seen here: http://boltonsuperpac.com/baffled/.
"The Kuster and Brown races in New Hampshire are critical for Republicans as the GOP works to change the electoral map going into the 2014 midterm elections and 2016. Beyond the donations, I will continue to do all I can to support New Hampshire candidates for elected office who believe in national security policies that will strengthen America," Bolton said.
This is the 12th endorsement and candidate contribution from Ambassador Bolton's PAC, which has already made contributions to U.S. Senate candidates Thom Tillis (NC), Ed Gillespie (VA), Tom Cotton (AR), Joni Ernst (IA), Terri Lynn Land (MI), and Leader Mitch McConnell (KY), along with U.S. House of Representatives candidates Martha McSally (AZ-2), Barbara Comstock (VA-10), Adam Kinzinger (IL-16), Robert Dold (IL-10), and Mike Pompeo (KA-4). The combined money raised for the two PACs is over $4 million to date with nearly $3 million cash on hand.
