John Berra Elected to National Instruments Board of Directors
AUSTIN, Texas, May 11, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- National Instruments (Nasdaq: NATI) today announced that John Berra, chairman of Emerson Process Management and executive vice president of Emerson Electric Company, was elected to the NI Board of Directors.

Berra is the current chairman of Emerson Process Management, a global leader in providing solutions to customers in process control, and executive vice president of Emerson Electric Company. He joined Emerson's Fisher-Rosemount division as a marketing manager in 1976 and went on to hold other leadership positions within the organization such as president of Emerson's Fisher-Rosemount division (now Emerson Process Management) and president of Emerson Process Management. Prior to joining Emerson, he was an instrument and electrical engineer with Monsanto Company.
Berra was elected to the Board of Directors of Ryder System Inc. in 2003 and is the chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Finance Committee. He serves as an advisory director to the Emerson Electric Company Board of Directors chairman of the Fieldbus Foundation and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation of Central Texas. Berra also is a past chairman of the Measurement, Control and Automation Association.
