John Abbott Joins Gilbane Building Company as Operations Manager in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gilbane Building Company, a global leader in construction services announced that John Abbott has joined the Florida office as Operations Manager. Abbott, who has been with Gilbane for more than 19 years, has worked in both the Texas and Connecticut regions.

Abbott began his career with Gilbane as an office engineer and has progressed as operations manager leading a diverse range of complex projects including healthcare, K-12 schools, water/wastewater, convention center/cultural, higher education, and residential. He has worked on such notable projects as the Methodist Hospital Research Institute and The Menil Collection Menil Drawing Institute (MDI) Campus Expansion in Houston, Texas; Danbury Hospital, St. Vincent's Hospital, Manchester Schools and Connecticut Convention Center, in Connecticut; and St. Lawrence University Renovations and Additions, New York. Abbott is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and received his Construction Management degree from the University of Maine Orono.
