ARLINGTON, Va., July 8, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Aluminum Association announced today the hiring of Joe Quinn as the Vice President of Public Affairs, effective July 15. Quinn will oversee the policy communications, advocacy strategies and media relations for the trade group.

Prior to joining the Aluminum Association, Quinn served as Vice President at Edelman, the largest public relations firm in the world, where he led public affairs and corporate reputation programs for Walmart, Toyota and the American Petroleum Institute, among others. He previously held the role of Managing Director at Xenophon Strategies, Inc.
"Joe has a breadth of knowledge in communications and strategic public affairs, as well as experience inside Washington, and I'm glad to have him on board at the Association," said Pat Franc, Aluminum Association Chairman and President and CEO of Tri-Arrows Aluminum. As Vice President, Quinn will counsel the Association President and member companies on public policy goals and strategies, and serve as the Association's liaison to Congress, federal agencies and other stakeholder groups.
