With over twenty years of experience in Law Enforcement, Jody now focuses her efforts on ensuring the safety of women. Throughout her career she has seen countless young women become victims in many crimes. It is her goal to empower women to rely on their inner strengths in order to better their personal safety and overall well-being. In addition to teaching self defense classes and serving as an advocate for women, Jody also works in the capacity of Owner and Operator of a Gun Retail Store. Jody started her service career in the United States Air Force, and then worked for the Florence Police Department for four years before transferring to the Florence County Sheriff's Office. She has worked in the Sheriff's Office for the last twelve years where she first developed the idea to empower women through self defense. In addition, Jody is a Certified Instructor through the State Law Enforcement Division to teach South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permits. She is also classified as a gang expert through the University of Florida and IPTM Institute of Police Technology and Management.
