Job Seekers Invited to B-More with Goodwill this Saturday
Goodwill is holding a community event to connect Baltimore residents with jobs and free training opportunities
BALTIMORE, April 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. will hold their second B-More with Goodwill event on Saturday, April 13th from 9 am to 1 pm at Zion Baptist Church. As part of its mission of providing job training and placement services, Goodwill is holding the event for local residents to interview for jobs at Goodwill, learn about jobs with Goodwill partners, and learn about training and assistance programs to enter the workforce. Over 250 individuals are expected to attend.
The day will include the following FREE opportunities:
- On-site interviews for Retail positions – 32 retail locations have openings including store managers, assistant manager, cashiers, sales associates and processors.
- Meet The Emerge Initiative staff which links participants with skills training opportunities in the building trades, IT and other growth industries.
- Meet with representatives from CVS Health, Turnaround Tuesday and The Building Trades to explore career opportunities.
- Apply for temporary and temporary to permanent positions with Goodwill Staffing Services.
- Register with Goodwill training programs to prepare for jobs with Goodwill partners.
