Combining the superior design attributes of Eagle Corr PE plus the eco-friendly and cost-effective benefits of recycled polyethylene, Eagle Green PE serves municipalities that desire high performance, good value and the peace of mind that comes with using a sustainable product. It is available with a dual or single wall, with 12- to 24-inch diameters set for early-February production and larger diameters soon to follow.
"JM Eagle's Eagle Green PE product offers the same great benefits of Eagle Corr PE, but suits the needs of green-minded municipalities and transportation agencies," said Brad Pounders, sales manager of PE for JM Eagle. "It still beats concrete in durability and reliability, as well as ease of installation, and appeals to those who are environmentally conscious."
Eagle Corr PE Dual Wall and Single Wall have been on the market since late 2009 for gravity flow drainage applications. Like its virgin-material counterpart, Eagle Green PE Dual Wall features a dual-crown corrugated exterior for greater pipe stiffness values and a hydraulically smooth interior for maximum efficiency, plus a superior flexible conduit design. It supports H-25 live loads with a minimum cover of 1 foot, while allowing for cover heights of 100 feet.
Eagle Green PE Single Wall is a more economical option for drainage applications where a more heavy-duty pipe is not required. A full line of standard and custom fittings in either a soil-tight or watertight connection complements the products.
JM Eagle will manufacture Eagle Green PE from its Stockton, Calif., Meadville, Pa., and Wharton, Texas, plants for nationwide distribution. Recycled content of the Eagle Green PE pipe will vary according to material availability.
"Eagle Green PE offers municipalities a high-performance eco-friendly product at a value price, said Pounders. "With the exceptional capabilities built into Eagle Green PE, plus its green attributes, we are confident it will become a top choice for the nation's drainage applications."
With 22 manufacturing plants throughout North America, JM Eagle manufactures the widest array of high-grade, high-performance polyvinyl chloride and high-density polyethylene pipe across a variety of industries and applications including utility, solvent weld, electrical conduit, natural gas, irrigation, potable water and sewage.
