JM Eagle began operations in Livingston, N.J., in 1982 and relocated its headquarters office to Los Angeles, Calif., in 2007. JM Eagle maintains a regional sales office in New Jersey. During the hurricane employees experienced the impact of Super Storm Sandy first-hand. With strong ties to the Garden State JM Eagle President and CEO, Walter Wang was eager to get involved.
"New Jersey has been good to us, many of our company's employees are from New Jersey and my children were born in New Jersey," said Walter Wang. "It is a privilege to support the recovery effort of this wonderful state."
"During the two decades JM Eagle was based in New Jersey the company grew to become a leader in sales and innovation through the hard work and dedication of many people from the state," said Neal Gordon, JM Eagle vice president of marketing and waterworks sales.
JM Eagle's donation is targeted to providing food, clothing and medical supplies to the elderly, low-income families and orphanages residing in the seven hardest hit counties of the state including Atlantic, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Union. The storm's aftermath left thousands of residential homes destroyed and several schools unable to reopen. The company's donation is aimed at rebuilding the communities and lives of those in need.
"We are a community that takes care of each other and it is inspiring that so many of our business and community leaders have risen to the occasion to assist those in need during this difficult time," said New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in a letter to JM Eagle. "JM Eagle's contribution will surely go a long way in facilitating our recovery from this devastating storm."
With 20 manufacturing plants throughout North America, JM Eagle manufactures the widest array of high-grade, high-performance polyvinyl chloride and high-density polyethylene pipe across a variety of industries and applications including utility, solvent weld, electrical conduit, natural gas, irrigation, potable water and sewage.
