Rendon was the political consultant for the newly elected President of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos.
J.J. was brought onto the campaign with only 21 days until the primary election. In some pre-election polls Santos was trailing by as much as 10% at the time. The new President dominated that primary and then won Sunday's election with 69% of the vote.
