There are more than 7 million fan-driven company pages on Facebook today, and over 600 million fans looking to connect and engage in a meaningful way with their favorite companies. The Jive Facebook Connector gives companies full access to customer interactions and information residing in Facebook communities by bringing this data into an environment they can manage and own.
From a company's Facebook page, any Facebook or Jive user can access the Jive community to post questions and create content; search the company's branded community; and view and respond to community discussions and blog posts. From within the Jive community, members can share and post content directly on the company's Facebook page, where their friends and connections can see it. Additionally, they can recommend content to their friends with a single click, view their friends' activities in the community and have their responses automatically posted to the Facebook page.
"Jive is offering the perfect solution to a problem we've been actively trying to solve – the ability to connect our Facebook communities to our customer community, built on Jive," said John Summers, Online Community Manager at NetApp. "The Jive Facebook Connector will further accelerate our success in driving engagement between our customers, prospective customers, partners and employees."
The Jive Facebook Connector gives companies the ability to:
- Bridge communities. The content generated in Facebook will be replicated and available in the Jive community, which expands the company's visibility over Facebook user-generated data. In addition, companies will have access to hundreds of on-demand reports to better manage engagement and ROI.
- SEO community content. Jive makes public Facebook content available within the Jive community and searchable in Google and other search engines. Companies can now leverage user-generated content from their Facebook pages to improve SEO and increase click-throughs from search engines.
- Extend engagement. Experts residing in Jive communities can now engage directly in Facebook-related postings and conversations, allowing Facebook members to connect with their peers. This creates a deeper level of engagement and more opportunities for companies to help their customers connect, share and learn more about them and their products.
"Jive is the only company that opens up the Facebook community for increased communication, relevance of information and idea exchanges," said Nathan Rawlins, Senior Director of Product Marketing. "We continue to drive the new way to business by making it easier for our customers to connect with the social web and collaborate."
The Jive Facebook Connector is available today.
