JinJa Birkenbeuel Named to NSBA Leadership Council
CHICAGO, March 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- JinJa Birkenbeuel, Chief Executive Officer, Birk Creative, and founder, The Honest Field Guide Podcast, Chicago was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. NSBA is the nation's oldest small-business advocacy organization, and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis. Birkenbeuel, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C. Birkenbeuel will be focusing her efforts on two councils, the Small Business Technology Council (SBTC), and the Economic Development Council.

JinJa was on the founding team that established the platform and strategy for Google Inc.'s national Digital Coaching Program, created to train underrepresented and marginalized American businesses, which include women-owned, to succeed online. JinJa is also is one of the forty women that founded the first institute for women entrepreneurs in the United States: The Women In Entrepreneurship Institute at DePaul University. She also serves on the board of Directors for the Jewish-Black Business Alliance, an organization that is founded on the legacy of the American Jew's advocacy of Black Americans during the Civil Rights Era. JinJa is an investor in Journey Foods, one of America's only Black-owned and founded food industry start ups, and is an advisor to Australia-based, and woman-owned Pax Republic. JinJa Birkenbeuel is also the founder of a new startup for entrepreneurs and small businesses, The Honest Field Guide Podcast and CEO of Birk Creative, a brand strategy and management consulting agency founded in 1997. Birkenbeuel joined the NSBA Leadership Council as part of her efforts to raise awareness and tackle the many critical issues facing small business which include knowledge about and exposure to revenue-generating technology and ideas, digital branding, technology education, automation and how it will impact small business and finally how the Affordable Care Act is severely impacting small business. The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing valuable networking between small-business advocates from across the country while ensuring small business a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key small-business proposals.
