LONDON, May 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

This cricket activity kicks off Strongbow's 'EARN IT' campaign, which will see fans stepping up and taking on a series of high profile challenges.
Those wanting to step up and face Jimmy can apply at Strongbow.com. 10 finalists will then be chosen to take part in the 'EARN IT' training process, where a top coach will help them prepare to take on the England bowling legend. One lucky winner will then have the chance to show they can 'walk the walk' - by walking out to the middle to face Jimmy later this summer - and emerging with their wicket intact.
Jimmy Anderson says, "We all know someone who, when they're watching sport, thinks they could score that penalty, catch that ball or hit a fast bowler to the boundary. Well... this is their chance to step up and prove it by surviving six of my quickest deliveries."
Strongbow brand director Michael Gillane says: "With the Ashes coming up fast, there will be thousands of people all over the country picturing themselves facing a Test match bowler in full flight. We're giving one lucky winner the chance to take on this once in a lifetime sporting challenge but they'll have to prove they are ready to 'EARN IT' first. For those who don't think they can handle playing against Jimmy, there'll be plenty more chances to try their hand against other stars in other Strongbow 'EARN IT' challenges throughout the year."
Challengers looking to step out of their comfort zone and take on Anderson in the cricket challenge will need to register on the Strongbow website at http://www.strongbow.com.
The competition closes on Sunday 23rd June and is strictly open to those aged 18 and over. For full terms and conditions, please visit Strongbow.com.
