Jonathan Novak Contemporary Art gallery presents Jim Dine recent works

Jonathan Novak Contemporary Art gallery in Southern California, an important source for Post-War and Contemporary American and European art, has been representing Jim Dine for over a decade. The gallery's inventory includes an extensive collection of Jim Dine's new compelling abstract work as well as his most iconic and well-known examples of Pop imagery, including Jim Dine hearts, robes, and the Venus de Milo figure, among others.

In Jim Dine Abstraction, the background abstraction, so inherently captivating and integral to his historical expression, moves to the foreground to take center stage in unlikely ways. At the age of 81, Dine reaches new heights in his uninhibited use of color, surface texture, composition, and form. These large-scale paintings of acrylic paint, sand and charcoal are perhaps some of his most powerful creations, embodying abstraction and motion.
