BURLINGTON, Ontario, Aug. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jiffy Lube®, a Shell Canada Products business, announces today a new campaign, Muscle UpSM, in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC). Muscle Up invites drivers to visit participating Jiffy Lube service centers throughout British Columbia and Ontario between August 1 and September 11, 2012 to help raise funds for MDC and those affected by muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular diseases.

SUPPORT THE CAUSE
More than 50,000 Canadians are affected by neuromuscular disease and the Muscle Up campaign emphasizes the parallels between the body's muscles and a vehicle's engine – both require care and maintenance to perform to their fullest potential. Beginning today, Jiffy Lube customers can make a $3 donation to MDC at participating Jiffy Lube service centers in British Columbia and Ontario. In return, donors will receive a Jiffy Lube Muscle Up savings book containing more than $100 in savings, with 100 percent of the funds raised benefitting MDC and its programs.
