CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Full Scale Productions will screen its documentary feature Jewish American Soldiers: Stories from World War II on Sunday, September 30th at Ayrsley Grand Cinemas 14 in Charlotte, NC, as part of the 10th Charlotte Film Festival.
The documentary, produced in conjunction with the local non-profit Hornet's Nest Jewish War Veterans Post 765 http://jwvpost765.jwv.org, focuses on the life stories of 12 Charlotte-area World War II veterans, exploring their unique experiences of being Jewish soldiers during a time of extreme Anti-Semitism both abroad, and in America.
The film was made possible by the generous donations of many individuals, companies, and organizations, including The Jewish Federation of Charlotte, The Leon Levine Foundation, and featured veterans, Jerry Levin and Holocaust survivor, Irving Bienstock.
Since its broadcast premiere on PBS in May, it has received great response from stations around the United States, from New York to California, and everywhere in between; It will continue to air through the end of the year.
